The Tearte Family Foundation Global Study Grant was established by the Tearte Family Foundation (TFF) in the Fall of 2013. In 2016, The Tearte Foundation partnered with Usher’s New Look (UNL) to provide UNL’s Moguls-In-Training participants with an opportunity to pursue participation in a university/college sponsored study abroad opportunity. The Tearte Family Foundation believes that this experience has the potential to change the arc of a Fellow’s education and their long-term professional contributions.

Deadline: 3 months prior to the actual date of departure
Eligibility:
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Student must be enrolled during the semester he/she makes the request.
- Cumulative GPA must be 2.00 or higher.
- Submit COMPLETED application via the online form below in its entirety or it will not be considered.
- All other sources of financial assistance must be exhausted before making an application for funds.
- A student may not have been a recipient of the fund in the past two years.
The application components include:
- Completed application form
- One page study proposal
- Resume and/or bio
- Interview with the Grant Selection Committee if the proposal is selected for further consideration
Response to Students: Award recipients will be contacted within 45 days of the receipt of their application if they will receive the award. Due to potential volume, all other applicants will not receive a response other than the immediate acknowledgment of the receipt of the application.
Award recipients agree to:
- Submit a 3-page paper summarizing the experience and provide it to the TFF within 30 days of the trip’s completion
- Permit the TFF to use the paper for marketing and data collection purposes
